Small bathtubs: style with space-saving
Installing a small bathtub is a lifesaver. You know how it is - your bathroom is
extremely small but you just can't do without a bathtub. The trouble is when you
look at the small bathtubs on the market you find that they are too small for
soaking. This is especially true if you're tall. Who wants a bathtub which
cannot be used for soaking in? Nobody! If you can't soak in the bathtub, you may
as well end up taking a shower.
However, there is an answer. But it doesn't entail buying a bath that is too
small to soak in. All that you have to do is think a little differently and
forget the standard bathtub -which allows you to lie down but not to soak very
well. What you have to do is forget lying down and think about sitting down.
Install a really small bathtub that allows you to sit down and you can have
water right up to your neck - even if your bathroom is extremely small.
One of the easiest ways to get the bathtub that enables you the luxury of
soaking in deep water is to buy a small claw foot bathtub, which is deeper than
the usual bathtub and enables you to have a good soak without getting cramp! But
an even better alternative is to look to the Far East - or, to be more exact, to
consider a bathtub that takes its design from a traditional Japanese bath. These
bathtubs take up very little space but are very deep. In short instead of lying
down, you're sitting, which means that even though it is an extra small bathtub
you still get the benefit of sitting in deep water. Luxury!
Another way of looking at it is to move away from the idea that a bathtub needs
to be a rectangle. There's nothing wrong with installing the small bathtub into
a corner - a design which you can enables you to sit in deep water without
having to use up in space in your bathroom. Small corner bathtubs are becoming
increasingly popular for this very reason.
Essentially, what you have to remember is that the days are long gone when the
only choice of a bathtub was the long rectangular type - which enabled you to
lie down but did not give you the ability to soak properly in deep water. With
the huge range of styles of different bathtubs on the market nowadays there is
almost certainly a small bathtub that will fit in your bathroom - no matter how
small it is. Take a look around at some of the bathtub styles that are mentioned
in this article - especially the small corner bathtub - and you're sure to find
a really small bathtub that will fit your bathroom and give you a relaxing bath
into the bargain.
